In lieu of Summerfest this year, Victory Ranch hosted a socially-distanced dinner for its members on our large, open-air lawn alongside the river. The dinner featured a delicious spread and ended on a high note with a musical performance from blues rock artist Josh Kelley.
Members sat down to a special menu featuring raw oysters, shellfish, carved prime rib and porchetta — all curated by award-winning Chef Jordan Miller. The event’s pastries, made by our new pastry chef Chef Francesco, also proved to be a huge hit.
Over dinner, Josh Kelley serenaded the crowd with old hits and new music, as well as story-laden commercial jingles of his repertoire — all from a safe distance. Throughout his performance, Kelley invigorated the space with good energy and uplifting, lively tunes for the perfect summer evening.
While the dinner performance welcomed all ages, most of the kiddos opted to attend our Kids’ Summer Bash at the Barn. The event featured demos and lessons from professional skater, Bryan Boarder, and professional BMX racer, Patrick Laughlin. Hip-hop lessons, tie-dying in the Craft Room and a movie night also kept the little Ranchers entertained and laughing throughout the event.
This carefully-arranged dinner performance was a great opportunity to safely gather for a sweet end-of-summer celebration. We have so much gratitude for Josh Kelley and our wonderful members for making this event so special.
