Nothing says summer like a weekend-long festival teeming with live music, family, friends and delicious eats. Victory Ranch’s first annual Summerfest will take place at The Barn and Freestone Lodge from August 10-12, featuring a collection of local jam bands that’ll get both the parents and kiddos dancing.
Throughout the weekend, expect an array of activities for the little ones, the whole family, then—of course—the exclusive beer garden for parents to get groovy come sundown. Below, get a glimpse of the weekend schedule and prepare for a summer weekend to remember.
Friday
August 10
Make your way to The Freestone Lawn on Friday evening for an unforgettable performance from Danny Flowers & Gordon Scott Kennedy between 6pm and 9pm. Both Grammy Award-winning songwriters and producers, Flowers and Kennedy are known for their countless hits for artists like Eric Clapton, Willie Nelson, Peter Frampton and more. There’s no better way to ease into the weekend than with some breezy bluegrass from two of the nation’s greatest songwriters. Bring your picnic blankets or lawn chairs to be guaranteed a seat!
Saturday
August 11
Before an exciting day of summer festivities, unwind on the lawn from 9-10am in a restorative yoga class. After, let the little ones enjoy kids activities beginning at 11am or get the family together for a fun tie dye session running until 6pm. Or, if you’re looking to amp up the creativity, engage in a glass blowing art class anytime between 11am and 5pm. The Summerfest Beer Garden and Vendor Row will open at 11am so grab some delicious festival fare and a craft beer or two while the kids play with bearded dragons, turtles and friendly pythons in the Cold Blood Creatures class from 11am-12pm. Now you’re ready for an afternoon and evening of incredible music.
Zion Riot, a Utah-based reggae band, will jam out from 12-1:30pm, followed by a performance from Millennial Beat between 2pm and 3:30pm—a high-energy, dance music group. With another 30 minute break, you’ll surely muster the chords to sing to Jagertown’s contemporary country music from 4-5:30pm. Then, starting at 6pm, Current Sound will take the stage and engage the crowd with their fun party tunes. Last, but most certainly not least, Josh Kelley will headline Summerfest from 8-9:30pm and bring The Barn and night sky to life with his award-winning, pop rock jams.
Sunday
August 12
The tunes will continue into Sunday with a live music brunch at The Freestone Lodge with string band duo Sara & Dan from 10am-2pm. We’ll close out Summerfest with good vibes, great food and even better company which, at the end of the day, is all we ever really need at Victory Ranch.
