Patty and Howard Miller, of Huntsville, AL, are no strangers to the Park City/Deer Valley area. Patty is originally from Magna, Utah, and the two have been making three or four trips a year to Utah to visit family for years now. Three years ago, they decided to build a house in Deer Valley, which they visit mostly during ski season. The two met on a blind date nearly 40 years ago and share an entrepreneurial spirit. Howard has had an orthopaedic practice since 1979, and Patty owns and operates a dance and active wear store called Bloom. Together, they own a cheerleading and tumbling gym, along with a Crossfit facility in Huntsville.
The active couple discovered Victory Ranch during a golf outing a few years back, and loved the property so much, they purchased a Juniper Cabin home in the Fairway Cabins collection. We talked with Patty recently to learn more about what drew them to Victory Ranch and what they look forward to the most now that they’re members.
How did you first hear about Victory Ranch, and what was your first impression upon visiting?
Patty: We first visited Victory Ranch almost two years ago to play golf and became acquainted with all the amenities. Because we are both golfers and love the outdoors, it was love at first sight! It seemed crazy to build a cabin 30 minutes away from our home in Deer Valley, but we loved the property and all the people that we came into contact with. The sales team was so professional and helpful, and everyone that we met along the way were just great people. We wanted to be a part of what we felt would not only be just for us, but for our children and grandchildren.
What about the staff at Victory Ranch?
Patty: I would definitely recommend living at Victory Ranch and being part of a community that is welcoming and warm, yet very professional. Everyone from the members we have met, to the staff at the Golf Course, The Post and even the entry gate, have been so friendly and pleasant.
What do you look forward to most now that you are a member at Victory Ranch?
Patty: We are excited to be a part of such a great establishment and a member of the Victory Ranch family. Victory Ranch has a family feel. We are excited to share all the activities and amenities with our children.
What activities are you enjoying the most at Victory Ranch?
Patty: We love golfing and Howard can’t get enough of fly fishing.
Are there activities you haven’t done before and look forward to trying now at Victory Ranch?
Patty: I love the fact that our location is close to the future “Barn” and that we can literally walk to enjoy all that it has to offer. I personally am looking forward to the fitness and spa areas, and also the skeet shooting! Howard is definitely excited about the fishing and golf.
