While there’s often a bittersweet transition from summer into fall, and warm evenings are replaced with cool nights spent fireside, there’s one thing that we all look forward to at Victory Ranch: colorful fall foliage. Whether you’re fishing along the Upper Provo or camping out at our backcountry yurts, the bright golds, oranges and reds of autumn are sure to take center stage. So, with that being said, seek out the following spots at Victory Ranch to peep the season’s best leaves.
Double Barrel
If you want an unobstructed sightline of the season’s best colors, look no further than the Double Barrel. Nestled two miles into the backcountry, the 5-stand enjoys both mountain and valley vistas which come alive in the fall, creating the most idyllic backdrop during a day of shooting. And, with a fire pit, hammock and picnic table nearby, it’s the perfect place to unwind with friends and family whilst set to Utah’s untrammeled beauty.
Backcountry Yurts
We believe the best way to witness Utah’s fall colors is by fully immersing yourself in the season’s surroundings. Hop on a ranger and head to our yurts for a night spent amongst nature and, along the way, get a glimpse of the backcountry’s sprawling splendor. Then, when you arrive, indulge in a campfire meal prepared by one of our private chefs while embraced by our property’s most vibrant foliage. And, of course, nothing beats drinking hot cider by the fire as soon as the sun begins to set.
Upper Provo River
There’s perhaps nothing more dramatically beautiful than the reflection of multi-hued trees on the Upper Provo. Our private, 4-mile stretch of river is lined with stunning pines and aspens, which take on a distinct yellow hue as soon as the weather begins to change. So, before you stash away your fly fishing rods for the season, take to the river one more time to both cast and catch sight of the fall’s most astounding colors.
