Summer is here and it’s finally time to dive into the season at the Jordanelle—both literally and figuratively. We’re excited to announce that Victory Ranch has obtained an outfitting certificate to guide you along the reservoir’s greatest adventures. Beginning this month, our outfitters will be leading members on stand up paddle board (SUP) and kayak excursions. So, whether you want to head out solo or alongside Victory Ranch’s most experienced guides, now’s the time to take advantage of the season’s best watersport activities.
Guided Excursions
The Jordanelle Reservoir is the perfect spot to both work and sweat and cool off during the dog days of summer. And what better way to experience the season’s best activities than with our most acclaimed outfitters? You can be certain you’ll be in good hands as Matt Eastman, our Outfitters Director, boasts a Wilderness First Responder certificate as well as a Flat Water River Guide and Lake & Reservoir Captain’s license. So, without further ado, head out to the Jordanelle to learn the tricks of the SUP and kayak trade with our best guides. You may even want to bring along your fly rod on the sea kayaks to see what you can hook onto.
Stand up paddle board excursions are limited to eight people 8 years and older and two people for guided sea kayak excursions. Fees are $40 per hour per group with a $10 per person inclusive gratuity for paddling excursions.
Solo Adventures
As always, the Jordanelle provides the ideal setting to explore whether solo or alongside your loved ones. For a pleasant summer day on the water with your family, consider renting a fully-serviced boat to fish, water ski, wakeboard, tube or simply cruise. Bring your own picnic or order a delicious sub sandwich at Jordanelle Rentals before undocking. Or, for a more high-speed adventure, rent a jet ski for the day to zip around the reservoir. Whatever it is that feeds your intrepid soul, the Jordanelle Reservoir can undoubtedly meet your wants and needs.
A Kid’s Haven
On June 16, every kid’s dream will be realized at the Jordanelle. AQUA x ZONE is an inflatable water sports park that sits atop the reservoir, designed to allow up to 65 people to run, jump, swing and swim at any one time. So, while you and yours embark upon a guided SUP excursion with one of Victory Ranch’s outfitters, allow the kiddos to jump for joy on the Jordanelle’s floating park. AQUA x ZONE will be open Monday-Wednesday from 11am-5pm and Thursday-Sunday from 10am-7pm.
