Discovering the Outdoors
There’s no denying that time spent in nature has a substantial impact on kids. In fact, children who play outside have stronger immune systems, improved motor skills, better observation skills—the list goes on. Luckily, at Victory Ranch there’s no shortage of outdoor activities for kids to partake in.
Every Friday, kids are brought on a lively journey to discover the local habitat whilst tracking animal footprints, analyzing water from the creek beds and locating flora and fauna around Victory Ranch. And, on Saturdays, kids can get together to enjoy a full range of active pastimes, from paddle tennis to sport court games in The Barn.
Kid’s Adventures immerses the little ones in the grandeur of the backcountry, offering your youngest Ranchers the opportunity to join guides on nature hikes and hop on pedal carts in the spring. Watch as their blissfully curious eyes widen amidst Victory Ranch’s most colorful season. And, for the older kids, the Archery Clinic introduces them to an entirely new sport, teaching them the tenets of discipline, concentration and precision—all while being outdoors and having fun.
Exploring the Imagination
Of course, Victory Ranch’s 6,700 pristine acres provide the ultimate setting for kids to explore their most wild imaginations. But, believe it or not, the exploration doesn’t stop there. The Barn is the perfect locale for little ones to put their creativity to the test. Kids Arts & Crafts class allows Lil’ Ranchers to be as inventive as they please. Using finger paint, tempera and watercolor paints, kids can bring their imaginations to life—with a project to take home, too.
If arts and crafts don’t quite appeal to your young ones, let them sweat out their creativity during an active open gym and game night. Kids will enjoy two hours of fun and fitness with new weekly programmed activities designed to engage each and every child. Or, they can come to The Barn Game Room ready to play, where kids will enjoy classic board and arcade games or challenge friends to a round of foosball.
But parents deserve to relocate their childlike wonder, too—right? Victory Ranch’s family cooking class brings every member of the family together to create a delicious meal, and most importantly, to revel in one another’s company. Learning to cook is both rewarding and exciting, and kids love being a part of the action in the kitchen. What better way to—quite literally—feed off of your kids’ excitement?
