For as much as Victory Ranch is a thriving community of homes, good people, breathtaking landscapes and all the pleasantries of Utah, it’s also abuzz in the design industry. Recently, Victory Ranch was featured on design enthusiast site Rue Daily. Situated in the Home Tours section, the thoughtful piece highlights the inspiring work of renowned designer (and Victory Ranch friend) Barclay Butera, and how he transformed our Cottonwood Cabin model into a paradigm of modern mountain living.
The article, aptly titled, A Modern Mountain Home in Park City, wasted no time uncovering Barclay’s early days as a designer and how he forged an exclusive partnership with us here at Victory Ranch. He speaks candidly to the shift in style that we’ve taken, moving away from traditional mountain style and incorporating modern accents and clean lines. “The developers wanted to provide this updated approach, yet with the warmth our designs bring to a space,” he says. “We kept the model versatile while incorporating signature Barclay Butera elements such as animal print and layered fabrics.”
A telling gallery is also showcased, providing a breathy visual to accompany Barclay’s statements. “I wanted to create a chic yet casual atmosphere by utilizing materials common in mountain homes while also introducing very modern and industrial elements.” This is apparent upon entering the home. With rustic wood elements that complement the architectural genius of oversized windows, floods of natural light and captivating vistas, he then pulled in touches of decadence by way of luxe fabrics, elegant lighting and unexpected materials like slate.
Rue Daily beautifully communicates the detail found in the homes at Victory Ranch, referencing our ability to take an inspiring approach to model homes and showing off the potential of what mountain living can be. Read more about Barclay’s interview with Rue Daily, here.
