We continue our Member Spotlight series with the Ross family from Orlando, Florida. John, a healthcare executive, and Lisa, who works in IT Project Portfolio Management for a healthcare organization, have two teenage daughters and a ten-year-old son. They are no strangers to the Park City area, having skied both Deer Valley and Park City Mountain numerous times over the years. The active family of five can often be found biking through the Victory Ranch backcountry or enjoying a meal together at the Freestone Lodge.
“We love great dining experiences and appreciate the fact that we can stay in our community and enjoy amazing dishes in style.”
In our one-on-one conversation with Lisa Ross, she shares with us what amenity her family can’t get enough of, what activities they look forward to trying the most and the adventures they enjoy in the surrounding area.
How did you first hear about Victory Ranch?
Lisa Ross: Our friends, and co-owners of our Victory Ranch home, first discovered the spectacular estate. We had both been exploring properties in the area, but Victory Ranch came out on top. There’s so much to love about the community: the homes, amenities, views, services, staff and prospect of growth.
How familiar were you already with the Deer Valley/Park City area?
LR: We have visited Park City for many years, skiing both Park City and Deer Valley. We have always thought Park City is an incredibly cool place to be; we only wish we could spend more time and visit more often.
What do you look forward to most now that you are a member at Victory Ranch?
LR: We are excited to simply spend more quality time at Victory Ranch. Summer of 2016 was filled with golf, biking, shooting, exploring the backcountry, swimming and tubing. We also enjoyed activities within the surrounding area, such as hiking, horseback riding, zip-lining and shopping.
Our recent winter trips have been filled with skiing, skiing and more skiing. We love great dining experiences and appreciate the fact that we can stay in our community and enjoy amazing dishes in style. We also can’t get enough of 875 Main – it is our Aprés Ski spot everyday.
Are there activities you haven’t done before and look forward to trying now at Victory Ranch?
LR: We look forward to experiencing all that The Barn has to offer. We, too, plan on trying yoga classes and fly-fishing in the Upper Provo.
What about the staff at Victory Ranch?
LR: We are so impressed by everyone at Victory Ranch and it’s been a pleasure getting to know the staff. Our experience is always top notch.
It’s wintertime at Victory Ranch. What activities are enjoying the most now?
LR: Skiing! (And wine after skiing)
