Family Championship winners: The Rogers Family
The Victory Ranch Golf Course has been the place for friendly competition the past few weeks. Recently, it played host to our first ever Family Championship along with our annual Independence Day Flag Tournament and a Couples 9-Hole event.
Held during the July 4th weekend, our inaugural Family Championship was our first ever event that included a Juniors competition, allowing the youngsters to be valuable players hitting from the new Junior Tees. Congratulations to the Rogers Family – Bill, Sam and Lucy – who won the Family Championship with a score of 28. Finishing second was the Hopkins family with a score of 31, and the Lampert and Richerson families tied for 3rd with a score of 32.
Our Independence Day Flag tournament title was won by Jack Ross, and Ron and Julie Thauer took home a win for the Couples 9-Hole this past weekend.
A special congratulations are in order for member Geof Wyatt, who aced a hole-in-one this past week. Geof was hitting from the green tees (145 yards) with the pin located in the right center of the green. Two bounces and the ball sank in the cup. This was Geof’s first ace. Well done Geof.
This weekend, we are looking forward to hosting the 2016 Outlaw Invitational Men’s Member Guest Championship, with a sold out event of 36 teams. Stay tuned for results and photos.
